Last night was very tough for us all. Kira was inconsolable for hours in the middle of the night and it led to making an emergency call to the pediatrician. The doctor helped us find a solution and I finally made it to bed at 4 a.m.
I squeezed in two hours of sleep (not consecutive) and then we headed off to the doctor to have Kira's bilirubin levels tested again for the jaundice. Thankfully they had not gone up overnight and she is probably out of the woods. We will go back on Monday to get it checked one more time and to make sure she is gaining weight.
This afternoon we went over to my parent's house and Kira got to finally meet her Aunt Liane, who has been in Japan all week on business. We had a great time together and Kira was the perfect baby. Kira also took her first walk and loved being in the Baby Bjorn.

Just remember, it does get easier, and you'll develop a new "normal." You'll eventually get sleep, as well. Just give it a month or so. Jen, if you need a break, let me know. I can take her for a couple of hours and you can just sleep if you would like.
