A Christmas Miracle

If you have been reading this blog for very long (or listened to us complain in person) then you know that Kira has been a very fussy baby.  Thankfully the doctor shot down the theory that it could be a milk allergy.  The next thing they came up with was acid reflux.  At first we dismissed this because she wasn't spitting up much in the early days, but recently it has been happening much more.

So we got a prescription for Pepcid and we started giving it to her a few days ago.  So far, it has been a huge success!

Kira has slept through the night for the last 3 nights!  That includes Christmas Eve and Christmas night.  In addition, she slept through Christmas brunch and Christmas dinner!  She made Mommy and Daddy very happy indeed.

We aren't counting on this continuing or anything.  She still has her moments of fussiness and Daddy still rocks her to sleep at night (often falling asleep himself and waking up 3 hours later to put her in the crib) but all in all we can't complain.  A few extra hours of sleep around the holidays was all we could have asked for.

So thanks Kira!  Merry Christmas!

  1. Oh yay! I'm glad that the Pepcid worked and hope that you'll continue to get some (much needed) rest.
