Kira's First Trip to the National Zoo

Today we went with Grandma and Grandpa Carpenter to the zoo.  We joined FONZ (Friends of the National Zoo) so we will go there a lot this summer!

Kira's favorite animals today were the pandas, tigers, sea anemones, meerkats, and elephants.  After spending a few hours at the zoo, we met Aunt Liane for lunch in Georgetown.

    It was an exciting day for us to go to the zoo with Kira for the first time! We have NEVER seen a panda that close before. We are looking forward to many more trips.
