In Search of Fall Foliage

This past week Kira and I drove up to New England with my parents for a vacation which should have coincided with the peak of the leaves changing colors.  We ended up being a bit early to catch the full beauty of the leaves, but we did have a great time and saw some beautiful sights along the coast.  We stayed with Jeff's parents in Plymouth, MA and used that as our home base.  Jeff unfortunately had to work and stayed home in VA.  We spent a couple of (cold) days exploring Cape Cod, one day in Newport, RI, and another day seeing the sights in Plymouth.  If you ever decide to visit New England, I recommend going in the summer instead of the fall.  It is just as beautiful and you will actually want to stay outside rather than running back to the warmth of your car wherever you go!
