Burke Lake Park with Baba

Jeff's mother was in town the past week visiting us.  Kira had a great time with her and was sad to see her go today.  At the beginning of her stay we decided to give Jeff's mom a different name to distinguish her from Grandma Carpenter.  Grandma Clark is Polish so she suggested the polish word for Grandma...Babcia.  Kira couldn't say Babcia right away so she took it upon herself to shorten it to Baba and it stuck!

On Sunday we went to Burke Lake Park with Baba.  We visited a couple of playgrounds, had a picnic lunch, and then rode on the train.  Kira loved the train and had fun saying, "choo-choo!"

  1. I think that was the engine, not the caboose.

Great pics though. We had a great time with Baba and the trains.
