On Sunday we went to church and the pool during the day. Then Kira went to Grandma and Papa's house for the night. They went to a neighborhood BBQ and set off some fireworks. Kira thought some of the fireworks were "noisy" but liked them for the most part. Jeff and I headed to Arlington for a party at a friend's building where we watched the DC fireworks from their rooftop.

4th of July Weekend
Kira had a good time celebrating the 4th of July over the weekend. Jeff taught her how to chant U-S-A, even though it came out sounding more like, "Essay!" On Saturday morning we went to a local 4th of July parade. It was really hot but Kira managed to stay interested throughout the parade, especially with the aid of some snacks.
