Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day started out a little rough this year.  First the cat woke me up around 12:30 a.m. by puking on the carpet next to the bed.  Then Logan decided to wake up two times a few hours later and I had to get up and feed him one of those times.  Around 6:30 I was jolted awake by the smoke detectors going off (Jeff got up early to make me breakfast in bed) and the noise ended up waking up both kids.

Despite such a crazy night, the day quickly improved.  Jeff and Kira brought me a yummy (non-burnt) breakfast in bed.  We went to church where we dedicated Logan in front of the congregation, along with some of his little friends.  After church we went to Macaroni Grill for an early lunch and then we went to Grandma's house for a special treat.  Grandma and Jeff had helped Kira make a giant, decorated cookie for me.  During Kira's nap I got to go on a leisurely shopping trip with my mom at Target without having a crying baby or whiny toddler to accompany us!  In the evening we took Kira to the playground in our new neighborhood and finished the day with ice cream sundaes.

It was a great day, full of kisses, hugs, and my new favorite song - I Love Mommy!
