Clouds Over Crystal City

Today Kira and I made the trip to Crystal City to visit Jeff and our friend Rachel.  We picked up lunch at Noodles and Company and headed a block away to eat at a park with a pretty fountain.  It was such a nice place to eat lunch and we were surprised that Jeff works right across the street from this area and has never spent his lunch break there!

Rachel just got back from Spain and brought back Kira two baby board books in Spanish.  Kira is bound to learn Spanish at a young age with people like Rachel and her Grandma Clark in her life!

After lunch, Jeff had to go back to work so we headed back with Rachel to her apartment for a swim on her rooftop pool.  We didn't get to swim long because of the weather, but Kira loved every minute of it (even if there were only a total of 4 minutes in the pool).

In other news, we are having a busy week with a lot of lunch dates.  Yesterday we met our friend Alexis at Panera to celebrate her birthday, tomorrow we are going shopping and to Corner Bakery with Lauren and her 2 kids, and on Friday we are hoping to visit Aunt Liane in Georgetown to celebrate her birthday which is today.  Happy Birthday, Alexis and Liane!
